Welcome to an Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) chase designed for people who prefer smaller groups and more personalized service.

This evening excursion departs from downtown Tromsø but which direction we drive depends on the latest weather forecast. To experience the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis), the main thing we are searching for is clear skies well away from the bright lights of the city. Sometimes we drive out to the coast, sometimes inland and other times past three fjords up to the Finnish border. We leave the final decision as late as possible to maximize your chases of achieving what you came for – seeing the majestic Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) dancing in the sky.

When we find the perfect spot, we park the minibus and wait for the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) to appear. In the meantime, we help you adjust your camera so you can take good photos of the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis). We also serve hot drinks and biscuits while keeping an eye on the sky.

On this exclusive chase, the maximum group size is 16 guests. This offers a more relaxing experience away from the crowds and you will have plenty of time to speak with the guide and ask any questions you may have.

Seeing the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) appear for the first time is a magical experience you will remember for the rest of your life. The guide will take high-resolution photos of the chase, which will be shared free of charge after the tour.

However, given our experience and the flexible nature of this small group chase, most of our chases are successful. Finding the perfect aurora spot

The Northern Lights are a mystical, natural phenomenon. If it’s raining or cloudy in Tromsø, finding the perfect spot to experience the magical lights takes experience, up-to-date information and local know-how. We are extremely flexible and drive wherever necessary in search of clear skies and life-changing experiences. It could be north or south, east or west, inland or out to the coast – or even all the way to the Finnish border. The fact that our guests have experienced the Northern Lights on more than 90% of our chases shows that we know what we are doing.

Safety and comfort

Our focus is small groups and a personal touch. The duration of the tours vary depending on where we drive. As the weather can be cold during the Arctic winter, it makes comfort even more important. Our guests appreciate travelling in comfortable, modern 16-seater Mercedes minibuses. From reclining leather seats to climate control, you will be travelling in style. • Normally we are back to Tromsø at 00:30 but please note that the tour can last longer than expected in case we need to drive far out in search of clear skies and/or wait long for the lights to appear.
