Join us on a scenic snowshoeing trip to Kattfjordeidet on Kvaløya, just a 25-minute drive from the city centre.
Even during the darkest time of the year, there are a few hours of twilight in Tromsø during the middle of the day. Make the most of this time on this easy and enjoyable nature-based experience and learn a fun activity at the same time.
No previous experience is required. This fun activity is designed for beginners and we have children’s snowshoes so the whole family can participate.
We start with a short drive to Kattfjordeidet, where our experienced English-speaking guide will provide brief instructions before it’s time to set off into the snow-covered landscape.
The terrain is flat in places and slightly hilly in others, which is ideal for snowshoeing fun. We will walk through birch and spruce forests to vantage points where we can enjoy scenic views of the fjords, mountains and islands surrounding Tromsø.
We provide snowshoes, hot drinks and snacks and recommend all participants wear warm, winter clothes and suitable footwear. We take photos, which are sent free to all our participants after the trip.
